- Our highly trained staff collect medical waste as per our weekly scheduled route plans.
- Should you require an unscheduled collection, get in touch and we will gladly assist.
Transportation
- The transport of bio hazardous and medical waste is strictly carried out in accordance with the National Road Traffic Act.
- All vehicles are class D registered and drivers are fully trained and licensed.
Disposal
- Medical waste is disposed only at fully licenced and registered disposal facilities.
- That disposal facilities are compliant with the Department of Environmental Affairs is non-negotiable.
- We dispose of the following types of waste: Sharps, Infectious, Anatomical, Pharmaceutical, Laboratory, Sanitary and specific Chemical.

- Our comprehensive process documents detail each step and each party’s responsibility.
- We are fully compliant with legislation and will supply a signed manifest document on collection of medical waste.
- Once the waste is properly and legally disposed of, we will return a stamped copy of the manifest document for your audit purposes.
In line with Government COVID-19 Regulations, we have rigorous processes in place to ensure that this material is clearly marked, segregated and disposed of specifically at a government certified disposal site.
Legislation
We are fully compliant with legislation and registered with the Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development as a Hazardous Waste Transporter (Health Care Risk Waste UN 3291 Hazard Class 6.2) and follow the Environment Conservation Act (Act no.73 of 1989).
COVID-19

Guidelines from the Department of Health on the management of Coronavirus or COVID-19 Health Care Risk Waste stipulate DOUBLE BAGS (sealed red liners) using designated single use box sets (50 L or 142 L).
- Waste that is suspected of COVID-19 and all health care risk waste including masks, gloves, coveralls etc., must be clearly marked ‘COVID-19’.
